Recommended Settings for Overnight iPad Monitoring
- Connect to Power: Leave both the nursery iPhone and bedside iPad plugged into power chargers overnight.
- Dim Display Brightness: Use iPad Control Center to lower screen brightness or enable True Tone / Night Shift to prevent blue light from disrupting your melatonin.
- Enable Guided Access (Optional): If you want to lock the iPad screen onto the monitor feed so children or accidental taps cannot close the app, turn on Guided Access in iPadOS Settings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can an iPad also act as the nursery camera instead of the screen?
Yes. In Baboo, any supported Apple device can act as either the Baby Unit (camera) or the Parent Unit (viewer). An older iPad mini or iPad resting on a dresser makes an outstanding wide-angle nursery camera.
What is the minimum iPadOS version required?
The native app requires iPadOS 17 or later. For older iPads (such as iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4, or earlier), you can simply open Safari and use our web app at /app/ with full streaming capabilities.
